$105,000•125,000 per year, depending on experience New graduates are encouraged to apply About the Position Denver Eyelid Specialists is seeking a motivated and personable Physician Assistant (PA-C) interested in developing expertise in oculoplastics, minor surgical procedures, and aesthetic medicine . This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon in a specialty practice focused on medical and cosmetic conditions of the eyelids and surrounding face. We are looking for someone interested in building a long-term career within the practice . The position will initially focus on medical eyelid care, minor procedures, and postoperative management, with the opportunity to develop additional expertise in lasers, neuromodulators, and aesthetic treatments. Prior ophthalmology, oculoplastics, or aesthetic experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate, including a motivated new graduate. Responsibilities The PA will work closely with the physician while progressively developing greater independence based on training and competency.
Responsibilities may include:
Evaluation of eyelid lesions Evaluation and treatment of chalazia and styes Focused eyelid histories and examinations Routine postoperative visits Selected medical eyelid follow-up visits Preoperative evaluations and patient education Clinical photography and documentation Eyelid lesion excisions and biopsies after appropriate training Minor office-based eyelid procedures Pathology ordering and follow-up Patient counseling and education Identifying patients who require surgical evaluation Coordinating care with the physician and clinical team Complex patients and surgical decision-making will continue to involve the physician. Develop a Specialized Procedural Skill Set One of the most exciting aspects of this position is the opportunity to develop skills that are not typically available in a general PA position. With appropriate training and demonstrated competency, the PA may develop experience in: Eyelid lesion removal and biopsy Chalazion procedures Minor office-based eyelid procedures Laser and skin treatments Neuromodulator injections Selected dermal filler treatments Nonsurgical periocular and facial rejuvenation Previous injectable or aesthetic experience is not required. For a candidate interested in aesthetics, we are willing to provide training and gradually build this portion of the practice around the PA's interests and abilities. We want to develop a PA who can eventually manage their own schedule of appropriate patients and become an integral provider within Denver Eyelid Specialists. Over time, the PA may develop dedicated clinics involving: Eyelid lesions Chalazia Minor eyelid procedures Routine postoperative care Emergency consultations ( with experience) Lasers and skin treatments Neuromodulators Cosmetic injectables Nonsurgical facial and periocular rejuvenationThe exact role can evolve based on the PA's strengths, interests, and the needs of the practice.
