Prescribe medications, administer injections, and perform procedures like suturing and aseptic techniques in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and regulatory standards. Manage acute pain cases, ventilator support, airway management, and critical care interventions within hospital or emergency settings. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties including emergency medicine, ICU, trauma centers, pediatrics, geriatrics, and infectious disease care to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems for efficient documentation and data management. ModMed preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for billing and documentation purposes. Skilled in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, thoracentesis, gastric lavage, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) management. Ability to handle triage effectively in urgent care or emergency room environments; adept at diagnostic test interpretation including radiology imaging. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice across inpatient and outpatient settings. Experience with telehealth platforms for remote patient consultations; familiarity with ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10) for accurate diagnosis documentation. Capable of managing complex cases involving infectious diseases, addiction counseling, hospice & palliative medicine, family planning, nutrition counseling, and client communication strategies.
