Advanced Practice Provider / Holistic (Part-Time) | Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Company Overview For nearly 70 years , Hippocrates Wellness has been a globally recognized leader in transformational health, holistic healing, and wellness education. Situated on a beautiful 55-acre tropical retreat in West Palm Beach, Florida, Hippocrates Wellness provides a clinically researched and sustainable lifestyle program focused on prevention, healing, rejuvenation, and overall wellbeing through advanced therapies, nutritional counseling, educational programs, holistic treatments, and world-renowned organic cuisine. Hippocrates Wellness is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and patient-centered Advanced Practice Provider to join our clinical team on a part-time schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). We are a wellness and education resort, some guests are here to relax and learn, while others are here to heal from an illness. Your job is to be compassionate and polite, and to offer every guest warmth and attention. SUMMARY As Advanced Practice Provider (APP) licensed healthcare professional who has completed advanced education and training with graduate level master's or doctoral degree
  • and is qualified to perform many of the same duties as a physician, including diagnosing conditions, managing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and performing certain procedures.
The APP collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care while promoting health, wellness, and lifestyle transformation. Applicant must have a Florida license and often board-certified, with ongoing continuing education requirements.
Scope of Practice:
Can diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and collaborate other APP's and with physicians to ensure comprehensive care, serving as a bridge between patients and specialist.
Desired experience:
Nurse Practitioners (NPs)
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) experienced as a hospitalist, internal, integrative, or family medicine: diagnose, treat and manage conditions independently under a supervised physician, or as an autonomous independent license as in Florida. Physician Assistants (PAs)
  • Trained to diagnose illness, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and assist in surgeries.
They work under physician supervision but can practice independently in some states. Florida requires physician supervision.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Weekly provides individual health consults to each newly arrived guest
  • reviews health history, recommends foods and therapies to support health goals.
2. Implements interventions to support guests to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role. 3. Watches and monitors high blood pressure, diabetes, and counsels guests on following a healthy raw/vegan lifestyle. 4. Teaches vitamin and mineral therapies to guests. 5. Interfaces with physician when on campus, helping with written protocols for guests 6. Assists guests by answering questions regarding the HHI therapies and program. 7. Keeps and maintain inventory of supplies. Makes copies of all informational forms for distribution 8. Knowledgeable and answers guests questions and concerns on a daily basis 9. Provides a safe and comfortable environment for guests for maximum satisfaction. 10. Interacts with all departments to provide proper service to our guests and to answer any questions that may arise. 11. Learn complete operations and usage of all modalities and protocols for department.
Other Duties May include:
Supports lectures if needed Supports IV therapy, biofeedback and energy testing as needed Email and phone support of guest questions Overseeing the department; manage staff, staff scheduling, supply ordering. Basic first aid as needed
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1.
Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program 2. Florida State License 3. BLS certification or higher ACLS 4. National Provider Identifier (NPI) 5. Knowledge of nutrition and veganism required 6. Practicing a vegan lifestyle highly preferred 7. Knowledge of HHI Program is beneficial but not required.
