Job Description

This regional healthcare system in a Midwestern college town with a service area of more than 3.2 million is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Provider to join their busy Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department. Globally connected, innovative and culturally rich, this metro of about 240K is centrally located to Chicago, Indianapolis and St. Louis and offers an affordable cost of living. Up to $83 per hour. Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant and Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine APP experience required.
Variable/rotating schedule:
12-hour shifts, 13-14 shifts required per 4-week block. Schedule rotates shifts monthly, including days, evenings, and overnights. 3 holidays per year (one being Christmas or Thanksgiving) / 4 weekends -shifts per 4-week block. APP friendly group including over 15 APPs, 45 EM Physicians and on-site ED Pharmacists and ED Social Workers. No EM Residency Program. Evaluate and treat patients with ESI 1-5. Level 1 Trauma Center with an average of 200-300 patients per day, over 92,000 visits per year. 24-hour in-house coverage provided by Anesthesiology, Hospitalists, OB/GYN, Intensivists, Pediatric Hospitalists, PICU, and Trauma Surgery.
