Summary We seek to add an exceptional Physician Assistant to our progressive Surgical Subspecialties team.

Preferred:

2 years of experience but will consider a strong new graduate candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity! Great flexible schedule! The shifts include 24s, 12s and 8s so you will not be tied into a 5 day weekday routine. Sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 may be available, based on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may also be available. The PA will be part of a well-established, fast-paced team in a hospital setting. This department is a 24x7 service that covers Urology, ENT, Gynecology, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery patients Clinical Responsibilities Provide preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients. Round daily on hospitalized patients. Perform emergency department and inpatient consultations. Manage admissions, discharges, postoperative care, and bedside procedures. Serve as surgical first assistant in the operating room for Urology, ENT, Gynecology, and Plastic Surgery cases. Robotic surgery experience is preferred but not required.

Professional Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain collaborative and consultative relationships with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. Follow all applicable prescribing practices and monitoring requirements under physician oversight and departmental policies. Participate in departmental and organizational committees and programs, as appropriate, and attend required meetings, in-services, and professional training. Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills as a member of the healthcare team. Participate in continuing education and support individual and departmental growth. Follow established safety policies, procedures, and precautions; identify unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective action. Comply with hospital standards of care, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements. Exercise sound clinical judgment and perform effectively in emergency situations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the department or division.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; master's degree preferred. Active Massachusetts Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one before the start date. Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain them before the start date. Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. Ability to meet all credentialing requirements established by Medical Staff Services.
