Job Description
Join a dynamic trauma and surgical critical care team in Worcester, Massachusetts, covering inpatient trauma and ICU responsibilities. This locum opportunity offers a fast-paced clinical environment with robust multidisciplinary support and a minimum commitment of three months. Compensation and logistics
Pay:
$325- 400 per hour Assignment length: 3 months or longer Current need: 16 open shifts in December; additional coverage expected
January-March Travel:
Paid Schedule Weekday clinical shifts: 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM Weekday call: 4:00 PM
- 7:00 AM Weekend call: 6:00 AM
- 7:00 AM Clinical expectations Manage an inpatient trauma census averaging 30-50 patients Daytime coverage by two attending surgeons Respond to approximately 10-20 trauma activations per 24-hour period Case mix predominantly blunt trauma (≈90-95%) Some call shifts include emergency general surgery coverage Handle roughly 0-8 emergency general surgery consults per shift, depending on volume Perform approximately 0-3 emergency operative cases as needed (e.
