Job Description As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant on our Cardiothoracic Surgery team, you'll deliver specialized care to critically ill patients with complex cardiovascular disease, particularly in the immediate postoperative period. You'll work collaboratively with experienced cardiothoracic surgeons and intensivists to manage patients requiring advanced life-support therapies and complex hemodynamic monitoring.

In the inpatient setting (75% of your time), you'll conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, perform procedures as appropriate to your training and credentials, manage medications and therapeutic interventions, and provide patient and family education. Your outpatient responsibilities (25% of your time) include follow-up care for post-surgical patients and clinic consultations.

You'll maintain detailed medical documentation, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and stay current with evidence-based practices in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care. You'll also participate in the on-call rotation, covering weekends every third week to ensure continuous, high-quality patient care.
