Duties Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients according to menu specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Support cooking processes by following recipes accurately and managing cooking times for various dishes. Handle food items safely during storage, handling, and serving to prevent contamination. Participate in menu planning discussions and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely delivery. Follow all kitchen safety protocols, including knife skills, proper equipment use, and hygiene practices. Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, or food service roles in restaurants or the food industry. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards. Culinary experience with knife skills, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen operations.
