Job Description

Bay Street Orthopedics and Hand Surgery is seeking a dedicated and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our busy upper extremity orthopedic practice in Petoskey, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys hands-on patient care, values collaboration, and is interested in working closely with an experienced orthopedic hand surgeon in a patient-focused clinical setting. Position Overview The selected candidate will work closely with Dr. Wroblewski in the evaluation and treatment of patients with orthopedic and upper extremity concerns. Duties may include office-based patient care, follow-up visits, patient education, treatment planning, and potential first-assisting in the operating room. Orthopedic experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic and upper extremity conditions in the office setting.
  • Assist with developing patient care plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, recovery expectations, and follow-up care.
  • Perform clinical documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in post-operative follow-up care and ongoing patient management.
  • Potentially assist in the operating room, depending on experience, training, and practice needs. Qualifications
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Orthopedic, surgical, emergency medicine, urgent care, or musculoskeletal experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Motivation to learn and grow within a specialized orthopedic practice.
Compensation and Benefits Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience. Additional details can be discussed during the interview process. Location Our main office is located in Petoskey, Michigan. Bay Street Orthopedics and Hand Surgery proudly serves patients throughout Northern Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula.
