Job Description

Dermatology Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Part-Time Ecker Dermatology | Wayzata, MN Ecker Dermatology is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant to join our growing dermatology practice. This is a permanent position with two guaranteed clinic days per week, Monday and Friday . Additional work will frequently be available for a candidate who would like it, including coverage for other providers during vacations and the potential for occasional Saturday clinics. Additional shifts are optional. Who We Are Looking For Our preferred candidate has at least one year of experience practicing in dermatology and is comfortable evaluating and treating a broad range of medical dermatologic conditions. We are also willing to consider an experienced PA without prior dermatology experience who has a strong clinical background in urgent care or emergency medicine with at least one year of post-graduate PA experience . For the right candidate, we are willing to provide structured, on-the-job dermatology training. This position is not open to new graduates. Position The PA will evaluate and manage patients with a broad range of dermatologic conditions and perform office-based dermatologic procedures appropriate to the provider's training and experience. An experienced dermatology PA would transition directly into an independent clinic schedule. A PA coming from urgent care or emergency medicine would initially work through a structured dermatology training and onboarding period, with increasing independence and patient volume as competency develops. Schedule Guaranteed Mondays and Fridays Approximately 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Additional weekday coverage opportunities when other providers are away Optional occasional Saturday clinic opportunities Additional shifts are available but are not required Compensation For a PA with prior dermatology experience, compensation includes a guaranteed base salary plus production-based compensation from the start. For a PA who requires dermatology training, compensation will begin at a training salary during the onboarding period and then transition to a guaranteed base salary plus production-based compensation once the training period is successfully completed. Additional earning opportunity is available through production and optional additional clinic days.
Qualifications Required:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program PA-C certification Active Minnesota Physician Assistant license At least one year of post-graduate clinical experience as a Physician Assistant Ability to consistently work
Mondays and Fridays Preferred:
One or more years of dermatology experience Also considered: One or more years of Physician Assistant experience in urgent care or emergency medicine Strong clinical judgment and interest in transitioning into dermatology New graduates will not be considered for this position. About Ecker Dermatology Ecker Dermatology is an independent, physician-owned dermatology practice serving the western Twin Cities. Our practice provides medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care in a modern clinical setting with an experienced provider and support team. We are looking for a clinically strong PA who values excellent patient care and would like a long-term opportunity to practice dermatology in a supportive independent practice.
Pay:
From $40,000.00 per year
