A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

KCUC is a large urology, oncology and radiation private medical practice seeking an Advanced Practice Provider. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assess patients' health and their demands and aim to fulfill them as well as possible Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine Inform physicians about any problems or discrepancies that might arise Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions Monitor patients' progress and keep records of treatments, surgeries or other medical events Attend to emergencies Provide care to patients who are inpatient Ability to take hospital call coverage Flexibility Provide help during surgeries Provide therapeutic treatments (disinfecting wounds, stitching etc.) Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards Collaborate effectively with team members of various specializations
Requirements:
Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examination, therapy and recovery Familiarity with advancements in medical technology and current know-how Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task Caring and compassionate Team player with good communication skills BS/MA in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science or Medical Science Experienced or New Graduates welcomed This role follows a schedule of Wed -Saturday with one night of call. It would be a total of 3.5 working days considered 40 hours with benefits. You will be responsible for on-call coverage at four hospitals. To ensure comprehensive support, you will be on call simultaneously with a Physician.
