A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.
Job Description Description UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in Clayton, NC, have Parttime openings for Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA). Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams.
Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program One year PA work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting required NC Licensure or ability to obtain Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members The ability to work in a fast-paced environment Required procedures: Suturing, splinting DOT Certification Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required
