Job Description

Job Summary:
Lead, manage and coordinate activities of the Emergency Department operations and staff for assigned shifts. Participates in the coordination of patient care and departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division and departmental mission statement and values.
Qualifications:
Current RN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state(compact) license). BSN preferred. Two years progressive nursing experience in an acute hospital with demonstrated leadership skills. ED experience or 1 year of Critical Care experience strongly preferred. Thorough knowledge of emergency nursing principles, methods and techniques. Able to deal tactfully with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professionals and families.
Current certification:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, with CEN preferred. Significant ability to manage, coach and motivate staff.
