New Graduates Welcome - Willing to Train | Experienced Providers Encouraged to Apply An established Pain Management and Rehabilitation practice is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Management team.
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced provider or a new graduate who is eager to learn and develop specialized clinical skills . Pain management experience is welcomed but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Position ResponsibilitiesThe NP/PA will work closely with our physician and clinical team in evaluating and treating patients with acute and chronic pain conditions , including musculoskeletal and orthopedic disorders, spine conditions, neuromuscular disorders, and other painful conditions.
Responsibilities may include: Performing comprehensive histories and physical examinations Developing and managing individualized treatment plans Evaluating patients with spine, joint, musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic pain conditions Medication management and follow-up care Performing joint injections, nerve blocks, and musculoskeletal injections after appropriate training Ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies Coordinating referrals, rehabilitation, and specialty care Educating patients regarding treatment options and ongoing care Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Board certified or board eligible Active North Carolina license or eligible for North Carolina licensure DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration Excellent communication and patient-care skills Interest in Pain Management, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Spine, Orthopedics, or Musculoskeletal Medicine Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, PM&R, spine, or musculoskeletal medicine is a plus but is NOT required.
