.9 FTE at 36 hours per week. Rotating days, weekends, Holidays. Under the supervision of a physician provide medical care to patients and performs minor surgical procedures according to the approved privilege list.Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions Promotes positive relations when interacting with patients, visitors, families, physicians, customers and co-workers. Greet, smiles and makes eye contact. Introduces self by name. Volunteers to help co-workers and other employees. Addresses patients and others by surname. Responds quickly to patients and/or other peoples' needs. Knows and demonstrates 6 step customer complaint management process. Under the supervision of a physician provide medical care to patients and performs minor surgical procedures according to the approved privilege list. Perform physical examinations, suture simple lacerations, treat abrasions and burns, order and/or perform diagnostic tests, and document findings as appropriate. Develops and communicates treatment plan to patients. Formulates diagnostic impressions based on medical findings, consultation with patient and their family, and supervising physician as appropriate. Communicates and implements treatment plan and diagnosis to patient. Consults with supervising physician as necessary. Refer complex patient situations to the supervising physician. As assigned, performs face to face evaluation within 1 hour of notification for behavior health restraint need and approves reorders telephonically. Duties must be performed within scope of practice and time frame set by the Medical Director.Schedule:

Job Requirements Education Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Experience 2+ years Advanced Practice Provider (APP) experience required. License/Certifications Current, valid, and maintained Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state working without restrictions required. Must stay current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements to maintain PA licensure. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire. Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Skilled in promoting positive relations when interacting with patients or other customers.
