A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

An established neurosurgery practice in Princeton, NJ is currently seeking a Physician Assistant to join their growing team. In this role, you will work in a hospital setting four days per week, specializing in treating a full spectrum of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve conditions.
Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside a team of Physicians and APPs specializing in brain and spine conditions (including brain tumors, Chiari malformation, concussions, head injuries, neuralgia, back pain, bulging/herniated discs, compression fractures, radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, sciatica, and whiplash)
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications:
  • Active New Jersey State License
  • Experience in neurosurgery, neurology, or orthopedics is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
