ASAP About the Position qualified Orthopedic APP in Taos, New Mexico, 87571! Holy Cross Medical Center is looking for a full-time Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider. Responsibilities include follow ups, casting, reading x-rays, suture removal, as well as injections. One year Ortho experience preferred. Schedule would include clinic and OR support as well as 10 days per month of call- some weekends might be necessary. They offer full benefits, PTO, CME, student loan repayment, reimbursement on license fees after 6 months, and a sign-on and relocation assistance lump sum of $30K. The facility is located in a top-notch ski valley in the southern Rockies, with proximity to Colorado. The area offers a friendly community with a wide-variety of outdoor activities- river rafting, hot springs, camping, hiking and fishing. Full Time Permanent Placement Will Consider PA or NP Must have at least 1 year of experience M-F, On Call 10 times a month Offering a lump sum of $30K for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance PTO/PLT = is a little over 4 weeks CME = $3,500 annually CME Time = 30 hrs that do not come out of the PLT bank Sign-on = $25,000 to $30,000 Student Loan Repayment = $25,000 over 5 years or $5,000 annually Qualifications Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license, with appropriate state licensure (or eligibility) and national certification in good standing. Demonstrated experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, or related musculoskeletal care (inpatient, outpatient, or perioperative settings). Proficiency in comprehensive orthopedic assessment, including history-taking, physical examination, interpretation of imaging and diagnostic studies, and formulation of differential diagnoses. Experience managing pre- and post-operative patients, including wound care, pain management, rehabilitation coordination, and monitoring for complications. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, surgeons, hospital staff, and community partners in a culturally sensitive and respectful manner. Ability to work independently with remote supervision, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond flexibly to changing clinic or hospital needs. Comfort with electronic medical records, clinical documentation, and basic digital tools used for remote care and collaboration.
