Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join a busy inpatient Trauma and Emergency General Surgery service in Las Vegas. This position is ideal for a confident, highly motivated PA who enjoys acute care surgery, working collaboratively with surgeons, and managing complex hospitalized patients. Qualifications Current Physician Assistant licensure or eligibility for licensure in Nevada Minimum 5 years of inpatient clinical experience Previous general surgery and/or acute care surgery experience strongly preferred Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a collaborative surgical team Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills Responsibilities Perform daily inpatient rounding and assist with ongoing management of surgical patients Evaluate and manage new inpatient and emergency department consultations Develop assessment and treatment plans in collaboration with attending surgeons Coordinate patient care with nursing, consulting services, case management, and other members of the multidisciplinary team First assist in the operating room for trauma and emergency general surgery procedures Assist with perioperative patient management, documentation, orders, and discharge planning Management of a monthly post-operative clinic , including routine follow-up visits, wound checks, and postoperative care coordination Participate in the care of both routine and complex acute surgical patients
Pay:
$130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
