Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment in New York, starting Jun 1, 2026. This role involves providing inpatient ICU and step-down coverage for cardiac surgery ICU patients, performing procedures like central line and chest tube placement, with a focus on non-operative care. The schedule for this assignment is to be determined. Responsibilities and Duties Perform procedures such as central line, arterial line, chest tube placement, CT removal, and wound vac changes Provide inpatient ICU and step-down coverage for cardiac surgery ICU patients Manage up to 10 notes and phone coverage for all inpatients Care for an adult patient demographic in a nonoperative role Additional Information Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required EMR system is Epic ICU or critical care experience is required, with cardiac critical care preferred This is a nonoperative role; OR experience is not required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
