Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and be proficient in various medical procedures. This role requires a collaborative approach to patient management, focusing on delivering high-quality care across multiple specialties, including acute care, emergency medicine, and primary care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status. Administer medications and perform procedures such as suturing, airway management, and IV infusion. Utilize EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks) for accurate documentation of patient records and data management. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in triaging patients and developing treatment plans. Provide acute pain management and participate in hospice & palliative medicine initiatives. Engage in clinical research activities, including data collection and participation in clinical trials. Manage patients in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and emergency room environments. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. Participate in health coaching and education for patients regarding their conditions and treatments. Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist in discharge planning for patients transitioning to post-acute care. Experience Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following areas: Critical care experience within a Level I or Level II trauma center setting. Proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems. Experience with infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and family planning. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and aseptic technique. Familiarity with telehealth practices and outpatient clinic experience. Experience administering injections and performing physical examinations is essential.
