Coverage Type:
Locum Tenens Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a low-volume emergency department. This is a single-provider coverage model with no Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) support, making the position ideal for physicians who are comfortable practicing independently in a community emergency department. The facility averages approximately 13 patients per day and has a 10-bed Emergency Department , offering a manageable patient volume while requiring broad emergency medicine experience. Practice Details Single physician coverage No APC support Approximately 13 patients per day 10-bed Emergency Department Independent practice environment No call responsibilities
Schedule Day Shift:
7:00 AM - 7:00
PM Night Shift:
7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Physicians must be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per month
Assignment Information Start Date:
December 1, 2026
End Date:
February 28, 2027 Coverage needed due to staffing requirements Minimum Requirements Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) required Active South Carolina medical license required at the time of submission Minimum post-residency experience required; new graduates will not be considered Clean malpractice history with no malpractice claims or significant red flags Providers must not reside within 100 miles of the facility Must be comfortable working independently without APP support Credentialing Temporary privileges are available, allowing for an expedited credentialing process. Due to temporary privileges, candidates with malpractice history will not be considered.
