Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Endocrinology team. In this role, you will work alongside board-certified endocrinologist and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with endocrine conditions. This is a great opportunity for a PA interested in a specialized field and who is passionate about making a difference in patient outcomes. Special Interest/Prior Experience in Endocrinology is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and detailed medical histories. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with endocrine disorders. Assist with patient education, offering guidance on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence. Collaborate closely with endocrinologists to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes. Perform minor procedures under supervision as necessary. Provide follow-up care and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Stay current with medical literature, new treatments, and clinical guidelines in endocrinology.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Current PA license (State-Texas). Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Experience in endocrinology or related medical fields preferred but not required. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to assess and manage complex cases. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
