A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description
- 7-8/month (24 hour call on weekends, night call during the week after clinical hours) Clinic
- 2-4 days/ month Surgical First Assist
- 10-12 days/ month Call will include inpatient rounding and 1st assist callback
- OT after 40 clinical hours per week
