What they do
A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description
- Patient management will include gynecological surgery, minimally invasive/laparoscopic and robotic surgery
- Experience is preferred
- Perform patient histories and physical exams in the office and hospital setting: new patients, follow ups, pre/post ops, consults
- Handle daily patient rounds, inpatient/outpatient education, daily documentation, and discharge summaries
- Order and interpret appropriate medications and diagnostic tests such as routine laboratory, x-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, etc.
- Monitor and manage patients' course of treatment and make/coordinate appropriate referrals as needed
- Monday to Friday schedule
- No call
- Compensation is between $135,890 and $180,253 per year
- The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them
