A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Providence Medical Group Women's Services in Everett, Washington is looking for a surgical physician assistant to join its OBGYN surgery team. The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic team player who is comfortable working with multiple physicians in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Being flexible to change, having a willingness to learn, excellent interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills are also highly desired. Enjoy an excellent weekday schedule and a highly collaborative team in Everett, Washington.
  • Patient management will include gynecological surgery, minimally invasive/laparoscopic and robotic surgery
  • Experience is preferred
  • Perform patient histories and physical exams in the office and hospital setting: new patients, follow ups, pre/post ops, consults
  • Handle daily patient rounds, inpatient/outpatient education, daily documentation, and discharge summaries
  • Order and interpret appropriate medications and diagnostic tests such as routine laboratory, x-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, etc.
  • Monitor and manage patients' course of treatment and make/coordinate appropriate referrals as needed
  • Monday to Friday schedule

  • Compensation is between $135,890 and $180,253 per year
  • The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them
