at Amergis in Spokane, Washington, United States Job Description Pacific Northwest | Long-Term Assignment | High-Acuity CT Surgery An established hospital-based cardiothoracic surgery program in the Pacific Northwest is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a long-term locum tenens opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative surgical team and work with a diverse mix of cardiac and thoracic cases in a busy inpatient environment. Position Highlights
+ Long-term assignment with ongoing coverage needs
+ Full-time schedule with excellent continuity
+ First assist opportunity in a high-acuity CT surgery practice
+ Inpatient-only setting
+ Combination of OR, ICU , and post-operative patient management
+ Established multidisciplinary surgical team
+ Epic EMR
+ Travel and lodging assistance available for qualified providers Clinical Responsibilities
+ First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures
+ ICU and inpatient management
+ Daily rounding and post-operative care
+ Admissions, consults, and discharge management
+ Participation in call rotation
+ Collaborative care with surgeons and advanced practice providers Qualifications
+ Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
+ Recent Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
+ Strong first assist experience
+ Endoscopic Vein Harvesting ( EVH ) experience required
+ Experience managing CT surgery patients in an inpatient setting
+ Board Certified or Board Eligible
+ Active license preferred Ideal Candidate We're seeking a provider who is comfortable functioning in a fast-paced CT surgery environment and can contribute immediately to patient care, surgical support, and post-operative management.
