General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) 4-Day Work Week | No Routine Call | No Evenings | Limited Holidays Looking for a rewarding surgical career with exceptional work-life balance? Join Surgical Associates of Neenah, S.C., an independent surgical practice serving Northeast Wisconsin since 1967. We're seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative team of surgeons and APPs caring for general surgery, trauma, and bariatric patients. Our physicians lead the trauma team at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah, which is the region's only American College of Surgeons-verified Level II Trauma Center. Why Join Us? Four 10-hour shifts per week with a consistent schedule No routine call, evenings, or weekends Diverse inpatient and outpatient surgical experience Autonomy to practice at the top of your license with strong physician support Structured onboarding and mentorship Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including CME support, malpractice coverage, and excellent retirement benefits including company profit sharing Well-established, thriving, financially secure practice proudly serving the fox-cities area and rural out-reach Responsibilities Perform patient assessments and physical examinations Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies Round on hospitalized surgical patients with attending surgeons Facilitate consultations, admissions, and discharge planning Conduct new patient and postoperative outpatient visits Provide postoperative care, patient education, and follow-up Manage surgical wounds, incisions, and drains Maintain timely and accurate documentation Schedule Full-time, 40 hours per week Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, typical hours 7 AM to 5 PM Consistent weekly schedule No routine call responsibilities No regular weekends; occasional rotating weekend coverage may be needed during high-volume periods Limited holiday coverage Travel to outreach locations as needed (mileage reimbursement provided) Qualifications Required Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Wisconsin (or eligible for licensure) Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills Proficiency with EHR documentation systems ATLS certification (required within one year of hire if not currently certified) Nurse Practitioner Master's degree in Nursing Wisconsin NP license AANP or ANCC certification Physician Assistant Graduate of an accredited PA program Wisconsin PA license NCCPA certification Preferred Two years of surgical, emergency, hospital-based, or related experience Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer contribution including Safe Harbor Match and Profit Sharing Malpractice coverage CME allowance and paid CME time Paid time off, sick pay and paid holidays Join a practice that values clinical excellence, collaboration, and work-life balance!
