• Per Diem to join our team in Ketchikan, Alaska!

Ideal Candidate Board Certified MD/DO who has successfully completed a General Surgery Residency At least 5 years of post-training experience due to the solo and rural nature of this position Interest in a practice that is GI-heavy preferred Ability to work independently and be excited about creative solutions for patients in our island community Willingness to do a small amount of Wound Care, as there is not a wound care clinic on island. There is a Wound Care certified RN on staff Practice Highlights Clinic Hours Monday-Friday 8:30am

• 4:30pm Call is 1:3 (roughly 10 days/month); 24-hour call for ED and Inpatients and any urgent surgeries RN/LPN who have been on the team for many years
• the practice flows really well Good OR capabilities (no robotics) 3 ORs
• 2 are staffed all the time / 1 Minor OR / Procedure room in clinic for in-office General Surgery procedures Visiting specialists for GI and Urology Epic EHR PeaceHealth has been serving the communities of Southeast Alaska since 1923 with Ketchikan Medical Center, a 25-bed critical-access hospital offering comprehensive trauma care, outpatient and home health services, and a 29-bed long-term care facility.
