Job Description
Overview SUMMARY The Security Guard I is responsible for supporting basic security operations to protect personnel, assets, and property at assigned locations. Working under close supervision, this position assists with site monitoring, access control, and visitor screening to ensure a safe environment for employees and guests. Qualifications

Good customer service skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Basic report writing and record-keeping skills Demonstrated reliability and professionalism Ability to remain calm under pressureMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(education, experience, skills) High School Diploma or GED Must be at least 21 years of age At least 6 months of experience in customer service or public interaction Military service in a related field may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis Eligible for State of Alaska Security Guard license Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Valid Driver's License required and clean record Obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 3 months of hirePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Monitors and controls access to assigned areas; checks identification and visitor credentials Completes visitor and contractor check-ins for transport to designated sites Conducts visual inspections of bags, totes, and personal belongings for prohibited items Observes and reports suspicious behavior, safety issues, or policy violations Assists in maintaining order during incidents or emergencies under direction from supervisors Provides directions and general assistance to visitors and staff Completes basic logs and incident reports accurately and promptly Performs foot patrols as assigned to monitor and secure facilities Supports other security personnel as directed May be required to work on-call or call-back hoursBenefits
