Category Laboratory - Pathologist Job Type Contract Deliver vital expertise in laboratory medicine as a Pathologist, supporting patient care through accurate and timely diagnostic services. This contract opportunity seeks a professional skilled in both laboratory operations and pathology, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards in specimen analysis and diagnostic reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Pathology (Anatomic and/or Clinical) Valid and unrestricted medical license Demonstrated experience in laboratory medicine and diagnostic pathology Proficiency in interpreting laboratory specimens, producing thorough and accurate reports Strong communication skills for interacting with clinicians and laboratory staff Detail-oriented, analytical mindset and commitment to quality assurance standards
Responsibilities:
Examine and interpret tissue, blood, and other specimens using microscopy and laboratory techniques Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats for healthcare providers Consult with medical staff on laboratory results, delivering expert diagnostic insight Oversee laboratory protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards Participate in quality control initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts within the lab Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory and internal purposes Engage in continuing education to stay current on advancements in pathology and laboratory practices This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to patient diagnoses and outcomes, working within a supportive, collaborative environment that values clinical excellence.
