Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Physician Associate dedicated to promoting work-life balance while delivering exceptional patient care. Duties Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including intake, vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks. Assist with diagnostic evaluations by interpreting lab results, imaging reports, and diagnostic tests including radiology and ultrasound procedures. Administer injections, including botulinum toxin treatments and other medications following HIPAA and DEA regulations. Support acute care management by triaging patients in urgent care or emergency settings, managing airway and ventilator support, and participating in critical care procedures such as ventilator management and ICU protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across hospital medicine, primary care, geriatrics, pediatrics, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Document all patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Participate in clinical research or clinical trials related to pain management, infectious diseases, or other specialties to advance evidence-based practices. Qualifications Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification and ability to prescribe medications within scope of practice. Experience working with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with
ICD-9/10
coding and CPT coding is highly desirable. Demonstrated competence in performing physical examinations, medical procedures (including suturing), and diagnostic test interpretation. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure is preferred; experience with ventilator management and airway techniques is a plus. Knowledge of hospital medicine practices across inpatient and outpatient settings; experience in emergency medicine or urgent care is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to diverse patient populations including neonatal ventilator management and senior care. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient-centered care principles.
