Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks a board-certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in Arizona. The physician will provide inpatient and outpatient GI care, including consults, endoscopies, and colonoscopies, ensuring timely, high-quality patient treatment. Responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic studies, collaborating with hospital teams, documenting in EMR systems, and participating in call coverage as needed. Responsibilities Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations and follow-up care Perform endoscopic procedures including EGD and colonoscopy Interpret GI diagnostic studies and develop treatment plans Document all encounters and procedures in the EMR accurately and timely Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, and nursing teams to coordinate care Participate in call coverage as scheduled by the facility Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality metrics, and safety standards Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment options Required Skills Gastroenterology Endoscopy (EGD) Colonoscopy GI procedure sedation management Interpretation of GI imaging and diagnostics Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Inpatient consultative care Outpatient clinic management ACLS-level resuscitation skills Knowledge of hospital quality and compliance standards
