Job Description
OB/GYN Hospitalist
•Gilbert, AZ Headline Join a high-acuity Labor & Delivery team in Gilbert, Arizona, in a 100% inpatient OB/GYN Hospitalist role with flexible scheduling, no outpatient clinic responsibilities, and no take-home call.

Employment Type:
Full-Time Practice Setting:
High-Acuity Labor & Delivery Unit 100%
Inpatient Schedule:
7 in-house 24-hour shifts per month, with 12-hour day or night shift options based on provider preference and departmental needs
Compensation:
$300,000
•450,000 base salary, based on experience

We are hiring for the right long-term fit and can be flexible on timing. We welcome candidates who are available to start immediately, as well as those considering a planned transition over the next 12-24 months. About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life This opportunity is designed for an OB/GYN who enjoys the pace and clinical variety of Labor & Delivery but prefers a structured hospital-based practice without outpatient clinic responsibilities. You will manage both routine and high-risk obstetric cases, including labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inpatient consultations, and emergency OB/GYN evaluations. The high-acuity environment provides meaningful exposure to complex cases while maintaining a clear inpatient scope. You will work alongside nursing, neonatology, anesthesia, maternal-fetal medicine, and other specialists, with advanced obstetric technology and multidisciplinary resources available to support patient care. When your scheduled shift ends, there are no clinic responsibilities or take-home call requirements. •and high-risk labor and deliveries Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections Manage obstetric emergencies and perform emergent gynecologic procedures as clinically appropriate Provide inpatient OB/GYN consultations Evaluate OB/GYN patients presenting through the emergency department Collaborate closely with nursing, anesthesia, neonatology, maternal-fetal medicine, and other clinical teams Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and treatment Complete timely and accurate documentation in the EMR Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Required Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency Active Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills Preferred Qualifications Previous OB/GYN Hospitalist experience or experience in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery setting Competency in emergency obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures Why Gilbert, Arizona?
