Graybill Medical Group (GBMG) is a physician-owned, multi-specialty medical group serving patients across 9 clinic locations in North County San Diego and Riverside County. We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician (MD or DO) to join our team.

MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Employment type: Full time FLSA status: Exempt Reports to: Lead Physician, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Physician Officer The Physician is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care within the scope of their training and California state licensing regulations. This position ensures clinical services are delivered in accordance with organizational policies, established clinical protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements. The Physician collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes and may participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and compliance-related activities. The Physician will diagnose, treat, and help prevent injuries and diseases in patients, promoting wellness and health education. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Perform patient assessments through physical exams, medical history review, diagnostic testing, and observation Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with clinical standards and evidence-based practice Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within the scope of licensure and DEA registration Counsel patients on preventative healthcare practices and lifestyle changes Review and interpret diagnostic test results and communicate findings with patients and relevant care team members Document all patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and organizational documentation standards Perform in-office procedures within scope of practice and areas of clinical interest (e.g., dermatologic procedures), consistent with group credentialing Coordination and Collaboration Coordinate care with other physicians, specialists, nurses, behavioral health providers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care Refer patients to appropriate external providers or specialists when indicated. Participate in case reviews and clinical meetings as required Participate in the nurse triage on-call rotation (2x per year), providing guidance to triage nurses on patient calls. Compliance and Standards Comply with California state medical practice regulations, licensing requirements, and professional standards of care Maintain board certification and required CME as mandated by the California Medical Board and organizational policy Adhere to infection control protocols, OSHA standards, and patient safety procedures Administrative Duties Participate in internal quality assurance, peer review, utilization management, and risk management processes May be assigned supervisory responsibilities for clinical Education & Licensure Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution Current and unrestricted California medical license Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Experience Post-residency clinical experience preferred Experience in an outpatient setting is a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in evidence-based clinical practice and diagnostic techniques Knowledge of California health regulations, standards of practice, and public health requirements Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to manage a diverse caseload with cultural competence and empathy Familiarity with EHR systems and medical coding for documentation and billing purposes Working Conditions Work is primarily performed in a clinical healthcare setting Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and other occupational hazards typical of a medical environment Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks related to patient care Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and manual dexterity May involve weekend or evening hours, depending on clinic operations EEO and ADA Compliance Statement Graybill is committed to equal employment opportunity and providing reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), California's Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), and related laws. $300,000.00 - $350,000.00 per year
