Job Summary:
The Psychiatrist delivers comprehensive psychiatric care—including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management—within an on-site behavioral health environment. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will perform clinical assessments, prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, review medical records, and champion high-quality, recovery-oriented services. This role also provides clinical consultation to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and requires LPS Designation certification to facilitate 5150/5585 applications in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, offering a vital opportunity to support individuals facing acute behavioral health challenges.
Qualifications:
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO).
Experience:
Clinical experience working with adolescents and adults in crisis settings. Background with County mental health, child welfare, and/or probation systems and services is preferred.
