Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Advanced Practice Provider specializing in Pain Management! Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations focused on pain evaluation. Develop, implement, and adjust personalized pain management plans utilizing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies. Administer injections such as botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety. Manage acute and chronic pain cases across various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and telehealth platforms. Coordinate with specialists in anesthesiology, neurology, and physical therapy to optimize pain control strategies. Document clinical encounters accurately using EMR systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and pain management techniques to empower self-care. Skills Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, or Cerner for efficient documentation. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation related to pain mechanisms. Experience with advanced procedures including nerve blocks, spinal taps, catheterization, and IV infusion techniques. Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for billing and documentation purposes. Ability to perform clinical research activities and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in pain management. Excellent patient care skills with experience working in diverse settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or urgent care.
