Job Description
We're growing our Emergency Medicine team in Oakdale, CA and looking for board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians to join a tight-knit, collaborative group. Our team currently includes six-plus emergency physicians and 2.5 advanced practice providers, providing 24-hour physician coverage and daily APP coverage for ten hours. About the facility Small, well-equipped hospital with a 12-bed Emergency Department (all private rooms) plus 4 fast-track beds. 5 ICU beds and 30 med/surg beds. Radiology services on-site during daytime hours: CT, ultrasound, and MRI. Established specialty support available, including anesthesiology, interventional radiology, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, wound care, and mobile crisis psychiatry. The hospital is preparing for a Level 4 Trauma designation targeted for 2025-2026. Clinical workload and schedule The ED manages about 20,579 visits per year (roughly 2.1 patients/hour) with an admission rate near 4%. Shifts are 12 hours: 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. Full-time is set at 120 hours per month; part-time arrangements are available. What we're asking for Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM). Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
