Position Overview:
Graybill Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (MD or DO) to join our team. The Physician provides comprehensive outpatient medical care within the scope of their training, experience, and California licensure. This position is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and helping prevent illness and disease while promoting wellness and patient education. Physicians work collaboratively with other providers and members of the healthcare team to support high-quality patient outcomes and may participate in quality improvement, peer review, and other clinical initiatives. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, diagnostic testing, and clinical evaluation. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical practices. Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within the scope of licensure and DEA registration. Counsel and educate patients regarding preventive care, health maintenance, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications. Review and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic results and communicate findings and recommendations to patients. Accurately and timely document patient encounters in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and billing requirements. Perform in-office procedures within the physician's scope of practice, training, clinical interests, and group credentialing. Care Coordination & Collaboration Collaborate with physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, behavioral health providers, and support staff to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Refer patients to appropriate specialists and other healthcare providers when clinically indicated. Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and other collaborative activities as needed. Participate in the nurse triage on-call rotation, generally approximately two times per year , providing clinical guidance to triage nurses regarding patient calls. Quality, Compliance & Professional Standards Practice in accordance with applicable California medical practice requirements, professional standards of care, and organizational policies. Maintain all required professional licenses, credentials, certifications, and continuing medical education requirements. Participate in quality assurance, peer review, utilization management, patient safety, and risk management activities as applicable. Follow infection prevention, OSHA, HIPAA, patient safety, and other applicable regulatory and organizational requirements. Education & Licensure Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Current and unrestricted California medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment. Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to employment. Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Experience Post-residency clinical experience preferred. Outpatient primary care experience preferred. Qualified physicians completing residency are encouraged to apply. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice and diagnostic techniques. Ability to effectively manage a diverse outpatient patient population. Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Commitment to culturally responsive, compassionate, and patient-centered care. Familiarity with EHR systems and documentation and coding requirements.
