Job Description Internal Medicine Hospitalist Part-Time Night Shift Location:

Part-Time / Per Diem Onsite Nights Only About the Organization Acute Care Associates of California (ACACA) is a multidisciplinary hospital medicine group committed to delivering high-quality inpatient medical care, operational excellence, and strong clinical collaboration. Our teams support communities across Southern California with modern workflows, advanced technology, and a focus on improving patient outcomes. Position Overview We are seeking a Part-Time / Per Diem Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our inpatient team at Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, California. Palmdale Regional is an acute-care community hospital serving the Antelope Valley and surrounding communities. The hospital also supports physician education through its residency programs.
We are currently hiring for:
One Part-Time / Per Diem Night Hospitalist approximately 7 10 shifts per month , 7:00 PM 7:00 AM This is a nights-only position offering flexible scheduling, no procedural requirements, and the opportunity to work within a physician-led, highly collaborative hospital medicine care model. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced inpatient setting during overnight hours. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality inpatient medical care for adult patients during overnight shifts Manage overnight admissions, cross-cover patients, and transitions of care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation, orders, and workflow management Supervise and support residents and advanced practice providers as applicable Respond to changes in patient condition and coordinate appropriate treatment and consultation Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and documentation standards Qualifications MD or DO degree Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Eligible for California medical licensure Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills Ability to excel in a fast-paced hospital setting, particularly during overnight hours
ACLS/BLS
certification required Prior inpatient/hospitalist experience preferred, but not required Compensation & Benefits Compensation is based on experience, schedule, scope of services, and organizational needs.
