Job Requirements Port Hueneme, CA Secret Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description Duties Serve as a recognized technical authority in the delivery of Family Medicine and the Urgent Care Clinic, as needed. Formulate full treatment plans based on sound evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current and/ or evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Coordinate with facility and community resources to provide multi-disciplinary comprehensive care to all patients. Provide advice by telephone and/or in person to other physicians, non-physician providers, and other professional medical staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and nonurgent medical problems. Serve as member of the professional medical staff and provide advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and/ or boards. Recommend corrective action when problems exist. Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) functions, performance improvement programs, risk management programs, and peer review programs. Requirements Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. A Personnel Security Investigation is required. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption. This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing. Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position. Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS. Position requires a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Required to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Pre-employment physical required and annually thereafter. This position has been designated "Mission Essential". This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Required to wear Personnel Protective Equipment. This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
