We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 48-day assignment in California, starting Oct 6, 2026. Our client requires coverage for outpatient family medicine and primary care, with shifts from 8am to 6pm. The selected candidate will evaluate and treat acute and chronic conditions while also providing essential preventive care services. Responsibilities and Duties Provide outpatient family medicine and primary care Evaluate and treat acute and chronic conditions Handle same-day/sick visits mixed with scheduled primary care Perform preventive care, annual exams, and health screenings Conduct medication management and prescription refills Order and interpret labs and basic diagnostic testing Coordinate referrals and specialty care Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, HTN, COPD/asthma, and obesity Collaborate with behavioral health, dental, and other integrated services Care for a likely all-ages patient population

Outpatient Common cases include URI/flu/COVID, UTIs, rashes, minor infections, headaches, abdominal complaints, musculoskeletal injuries, diabetes, hypertension, asthma/COPD, depression/anxiety and preventive care. Likely basic procedures include wound evaluation/care, simple laceration management, basic splinting, injections/immunizations, Pap/women's health screening, point-of-care testing and potentially minor office procedures depending on privileges.
