• Full-time About the Practice Blue Angel partners with physician-led concierge primary care practices throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Our San Mateo office is growing—a physician will be joining an established doctor with a full panel and a waitlist, ensuring immediate access to engaged patients. Eventually, this physician will become the face of the practice and absorb the entire patient panel. If you're looking for a path to concierge medicine, without the risk and headache of filling a panel from scratch, this is the job for you!

Our model is straightforward:

patients pay a membership fee, panels are intentionally small, and you spend meaningful, unrushed time with those in your care. Our physicians each manage 200-300 members, compared to several thousand in typical practices. This allows for longer visits, same-day access, enduring continuity, and no volume or RVU-based scheduling pressures. The Role Build and care for your own panel, starting with our existing waitlist and a strong referral base Deliver comprehensive, ongoing primary care: prevention, chronic disease management, acute concerns, and specialty care coordination Practice alongside an experienced physician who will support your onboarding and success in this model Retain clinical autonomy and flexibility in shaping your patient care approach Flexible work schedule with a mix of in-person (at-clinic) and home visit/telehealth What You Won't Be Doing Administrative burdens such as billing, payroll, IT, staffing, membership administration, and vendor management are handled by our central team. You can focus on practicing medicine without managing a business or relying on health system mediators. Who We're Looking For MD or DO, board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine 3-10 years post-residency preferred Active California medical license or a clear path to obtaining one Strong educational background from a US medical school and residency Demonstrated ability to develop long-term patient relationships and thrive in a small-panel, membership-based model Concierge or direct primary care experience is a plus, not a requirement Compensation and Ownership Competitive base salary Optional pathway to practice ownership for interested physicians Location San Mateo, ideally situated on the mid-Peninsula between San Francisco and Palo Alto.
