$525,000-$675,000 The Opportunity A physician-only private practice in the Lake Tahoe area is looking for an anesthesiologist as a senior partner retires. If you want to do your own cases, work a full-time 40-week year, and live where you ski and boat, this is that job. Compensation is $525,000 to $675,000 on a 1099. This is bread-and-butter work. Orthopedics and regional every day. General surgery, urology, ENT, GI, and plastics. Some OB and Level 3 trauma. No hearts. No heads. No neuro. You cover one hospital in South Lake Tahoe and a surgery center on the Nevada side, so you need California and Nevada licenses. Call is from home, every fifth night first and every fifth night second. You have to live close. At a

Full-time:
40 weeks a year What You Will Do You will personally provide anesthesia for a mixed community list. Blocks and ortho are a regular part of the day. You will also cover general, urology, ENT, GI, and plastics, with some OB and Level 3 trauma. No hearts. No heads. Hospital work in South Lake Tahoe and outpatient work at a Nevada surgery center. First call every fifth night from home, with a day off after first call sometimes. Qualifications Board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist — required Active California and Nevada licenses, or ability to obtain both prior to start — required Comfort with regional anesthesia — required Community hospital and ASC mix — preferred Willing to live close enough for call from home New graduates will be considered Why the Lake Tahoe Area? This is a mountain town you live in, not a weekend you drive to. Skiing, the lake, and the trails are part of the week. The hospital is a short drive from where you live, and the year has a real off-season if you want it. This job gives you that life with a full-time 40-week year, your own cases, and a one-year partnership track.
