Inpatient Psychiatrist - Delray Medical Center Delray Beach, Florida | Full-Time | Monday-Friday Psychiatric Specialty Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our inpatient psychiatric team at Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Florida. This position includes coverage of the hospital's inpatient psychiatric unit and psychiatric consultation service . The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with physician extenders and may participate in the education and supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students. Position Highlights Monday through Friday schedule Inpatient psychiatric rounding Hospital consultation-liaison psychiatry coverage Collaborative practice with a physician extender Opportunity to work with psychiatry residents and medical students Approximately one weeknight of call per week Approximately one weekend of coverage per month Call is telephone/home call ; no requirement to remain physically in the hospital overnight Established psychiatric service and multidisciplinary treatment team Location in desirable Delray Beach, Florida Responsibilities The psychiatrist will evaluate and manage patients on the inpatient psychiatric service, provide psychiatric consultation for patients throughout the hospital, collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary staff, and supervise or work alongside assigned advanced practice provider. The physician may also be assigned psychiatry residents and medical students and should be comfortable working in an academic clinical environment. Qualifications MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license Eligible for hospital credentialing and medical staff privileges Comfortable supervising and collaborating with advanced practice providers Interest in resident and medical student education preferred We are looking for a psychiatrist who values efficient, high-quality inpatient care, enjoys working collaboratively, and is comfortable practicing in a busy hospital environment.
