Core Clinical Credentials Active, unencumbered State License as an MD, DO, NP, or PA. Active, unrestricted DEA registration. Board Certification / Board Eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Occupational Medicine (or equivalent primary care experience for APPs). 2.
Regulatory & Specialty Certifications DOT Medical Examiner Certification:
Must be currently certified and listed on the FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME).
Aviation Medical Certification:
For Physicians (MD/DO): Active designation as an FAA Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) (Class 2/3 required; Class 1 preferred). For APPs (NP/PA): Experience performing aviation health assessments, BasicMed evaluations, or willingness to work directly with an FAA-designated AME. 3. Scope of Practice & Responsibilities Deliver routine Primary Care & Preventative Health (chronic disease management, acute care visits, health maintenance). Perform DOT physical examinations in strict compliance with FMCSA regulations and standards. Conduct FAA aviation medical evaluations and issue medical certificates in accordance with 14 CFR Part 67. Perform pre-employment, return-to-duty, and fit-for-duty occupational evaluations. 4. Preferred Experience Minimum 2+ years of clinical practice combining outpatient primary care and occupational medicine. Familiarity with DOT/FAA digital documentation platforms and electronic health records.

$49,900.00 - $60,200.00 per year
