Cardiac Critical Care Physician (MD) AdventHealth Medical Group | Daytona Beach, Florida AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Critical Care Physician to join our expanding cardiovascular ICU team within a high-acuity, multidisciplinary environment. This role is focused exclusively on cardiac critical care and offers the opportunity to care for complex cardiovascular patients across our advanced cardiac programs. Position Highlights
  • Full-time role dedicated to cardiac critical care
  • Key member of a collaborative CVICU team
  • Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, heart failure specialists, and interventional cardiologists.
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical innovation initiatives
  • Opportunity to practice within nationally recognized cardiac programs and advanced CVICU settings Manage high-acuity patients including:
  • Cardiothoracic surgery
  • Mechanical circulatory support: ECMO, LVAD, Impella, IABP
  • Vascular surgery patients
  • Valvular surgery, CABG, aortic dissection repairs, and thoracic surgery cases Why AdventHealth

This is an excellent opportunity for a cardiac critical care physician who wants to help shape program growth while practicing in a high-acuity tertiary/quaternary care environment.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • MD from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
  • Critical care fellowship training required
  • Prior cardiac anesthesia training or dedicated CVICU experience preferred
  • Experience caring for patients with mechanical circulatory support devices preferred
  • Advanced echocardiography skills preferred (PTE, CCE, or equivalent TEE training/certification) Rachel Hale
