Friday Rotating Retina Call No Hospital Call Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Retina Physician (Vitreoretinal Surgeon) to join a well-established, growing multispecialty ophthalmology practice serving the Tampa Bay region. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced retina specialists and newly trained fellows seeking a high-volume surgical practice with exceptional clinical support and long-term earning potential. The incoming physician will benefit from a strong referral network, state-of-the-art technology, dedicated surgical support staff, and an established patient base with rapidly increasing demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and manage medical and surgical retinal diseases. Perform approximately 4-6 vitreoretinal surgeries per week. Provide intravitreal injections, retinal laser procedures, and comprehensive retina care. Evaluate and treat conditions including retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular disorders, and vitreoretinal diseases. Collaborate with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation. Participate in a rotating retina call schedule shared among three physicians. Travel between multiple outpatient clinic locations within the Tampa Bay region.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Fellowship-trained in Vitreoretinal Surgery/Retina. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology. Eligible for Florida medical licensure. New graduates (Retina Fellowship graduates) are encouraged to apply.
