In 1938, Mr. Waterman turned the elegant Fountain Inn in downtown Eustis over to a group of local doctors for use as a hospital, and the new Lake County Medical Center was to become the major cornerstone of health care in Lake County. For over 70 years, Florida Hospital Waterman has continued its commitment to the health care needs of our community, and has progressed from an 18-bed county hospital to a 269-bed acute care facility.
