A busy Emergency Department in West Palm Beach, Florida is seeking a Locums Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide PM/Nocturnist coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly collaborative emergency medicine team while providing high-quality care in a modern, newly renovated department during evening and overnight hours. Position Overview
    Duration:
    Ongoing PRN (as needed) with no defined end date
      Schedule:
      12-hour night shifts available

      • 6:00 PM
      • 6:00 AM
      • 7:00 PM
      • 7:00 AM
      Minimum Commitment:
      4-6 shifts per month

          Approximately 60,000 visits
          • 22-bed Emergency Department with recent renovations and advanced imaging technology
          Patient Volume:
          Approximately 2-3 patients per hour, depending on shift and census
            Admission Rate:

                  EMR:
                  Meditech (eMAR and EDM) Clinical Environment
                  • Provide care for a diverse emergency medicine patient population, including adult and pediatric patients
                  • Manage a broad range of emergency conditions, from low-acuity complaints to critical care cases
                  • Work in a fast-paced environment with strong specialty support and a collaborative team structure Responsibilities
                  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of emergency medical conditions
                  • Perform emergency procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice
                  • Stabilize critically ill and injured patients
                  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic evaluations
                  • Collaborate with emergency physicians, specialists, nursing staff, APPs, and ancillary teams to provide timely, patient-centered care
                  • Document patient encounters accurately using the electronic medical record Team Structure
                  • 8 Emergency Medicine Physicians per shift
                  • 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) per shift
                  • Highly collaborative, multidisciplinary care team Special Designations
                  • Advanced Certification as a Primary Stroke Center
