Internal Medicine Physician -
Primary Care Location:
Metro Atlanta, Georgia Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients in a collaborative, physician-led practice environment. The role focuses on preventive care, wellness, acute illness management, and chronic disease management. The physician will have the opportunity to develop long-term patient relationships while working with a supportive care team and utilizing modern technology to streamline clinical workflows and documentation. The position also offers opportunities for professional development, quality improvement, mentoring, and teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients age 18 and older. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions. Perform preventive health screenings, annual wellness examinations, and routine health assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings. Monitor and manage chronic diseases and complex medical conditions. Provide patient education regarding treatment, medications, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices. Coordinate patient care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records. Utilize technology and AI-assisted documentation tools to support clinical efficiency. Participate in care team meetings and collaborative patient management. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development activities. Maintain strong, long-term relationships with patients. Opportunity to mentor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and medical students, based on interest and experience.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board Eligible candidates may be considered if currently completing residency, with board certification required before beginning independent practice. Active Georgia medical license or eligibility to obtain one. Current DEA registration. Authorized to work in the United States. Strong clinical knowledge and primary care skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using AI-assisted documentation or other technology-enabled clinical tools. Interest in mentoring, teaching, or professional development of APPs and medical students. Experience in outpatient internal medicine or adult primary care.
Work Environment & Schedule:
On-site primary care practice environment. Standard full-time schedule. Monday-Friday schedule. Opportunity for a four-day or five-day workweek, depending on practice needs and scheduling arrangements. Collaborative care model with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Technology & Clinical Support:
The practice utilizes modern healthcare technology and AI-assisted tools to improve clinical workflows and reduce administrative burden. Physicians will have access to technology designed to support documentation, care coordination, and efficient delivery of primary care services.
