We are recruiting a Family Medicine Physician for a highly regarded Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in beautiful North Idaho, within commuting distance of Coeur d'Alene. Physicians who arrive prepared to practice a broader scope of Family Medicine — including MAT, prenatal care, DOT exams, and procedures — may qualify for higher starting compensation. Additional Earning Potential Physicians consistently averaging above approximately 16 patients per day may earn an additional $5,000
  • 15,000 annual productivity bonus. Long-term physicians can also earn increasing retention bonuses, eventually reaching $10,000
  • 20,000 annually.
Significant Student Loan Repayment If student loans are still part of your financial picture, this position offers exceptional repayment potential. The organization offers an internal repayment program providing: Years 2-3: $5,000 annually Year 4+: $10,000 annually The facility also qualifies for multiple federal loan repayment programs, and providers have successfully participated in more than one program simultaneously. Some providers have received more than $40,000 annually in combined loan repayment assistance. Federal programs, funding, award amounts, and eligibility requirements can change. Candidates should independently confirm current program availability and eligibility. A True Four-Day Workweek Work four 10-hour shifts per week, giving you three days off every week. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with your regular day off typically falling on either Monday or Friday depending on coverage. Even better, approximately two hours of administrative time are built into each scheduled day.

Final patient Manageable Outpatient Call Call is approximately 1:6-1:7 and is outpatient/telephone-based. After-hours calls are initially screened through a third-party service, and nursing staff handle weekday evening calls. There is no routine overnight in-person hospital coverage. Saturday walk-in coverage is shared among a provider pool and is often covered by physicians who choose to pick up those shifts. Broad-Scope Family Medicine This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys practicing comprehensive Family Medicine.
The practice includes:
Adult and pediatric primary care Preventive medicine Chronic disease management Women's health Prenatal care through approximately 28 weeks MAT/addiction medicine Urgent and walk-in visits Suturing and minor procedures Joint injections Contraceptive procedures Skin lesion removal DOT examinations You do not need to arrive proficient in every procedure. Internal training is available for several areas, including MAT, IUD/Nexplanon placement, and DOT certification. Basic suturing competency is expected. Strong Behavioral Health Support You won't be left managing complex behavioral health cases without support. The organization has approximately 11-12 licensed behavioral health professionals on-site, including same-day and crisis resources. Providers have immediate internal referral pathways, allowing behavioral health and primary care teams to work closely together.
